Sandra Doorley Leads The Way

Breaking New Ground

Elected in 2011, Sandra Doorley became the first female District Attorney in Monroe County history. She was re-elected to her second and third four-year terms in 2015 and 2019. Doorley took office in January 2012, succeeding Michael Charles Green. She is the first woman to hold the position.

Doorley is a member of the Rochester City Council and has written a letter to New York State Attorney General Letitia James calling for an investigation into the conduct of Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley.

Doorley has been in the news recently for driving home and calling the Webster police chief when officers tried to pull her over for speeding.
